Debora Vieira, born in 1993 in Belo Horizonte and resident in Ireland, is an artist and designer. Graduated in Product Design, she specialized in Interface Design for digital products. She spent a year abroad at SCAD (Savannah School of Arts and Design), where she became closer to ceramics and photography. She studied curation at Arena da Cultura and works at the Smashing Times gallery in Dublin, in addition to being a dancer for 15 years. Her art is the result of these intersections. Her practice is a continuous exploration between the tangible and the intangible, the analog and the digital, and has a recent focus on the creative processes of improvisation, greatly inspired by her experience with dance. Working with lyrical abstractionism and geometric abstractionism, she explores themes ranging from feelings and sensations to the complexities of our relationship with work and technology.
